HP Multi Jet Fusion 1200 3D printer
A compact industrial 3D printer for the rapid printing of functional plastic parts.
Description of the printer
The HP Multi Jet Fusion 1200 brings industrial MJF technology to the compact 3D printer category. It is the ideal solution for design offices, development departments and smaller manufacturers who need their own machine for rapid iteration, the production of functional prototypes, small batches and parts containing sensitive data, without having to invest in a full-scale digital manufacturing facility.
The 3D printer is based on the same Multi Jet Fusion technology, which, over the course of its ten-year history, has established itself as the industry standard for the production of functional parts in the automotive, healthcare, aerospace and defence sectors. Customers gain access to the same ecosystem and design and engineering guidelines as with the HP Jet Fusion 5600 production series — with the potential for future scalability.
The complete HP MJF 1200 solution comprises a 3D printer, a Material Management System for automated powder handling, a build unit for cooling print jobs, two material hoppers and Magics Print for HP software from Materialise for print preparation. It also includes the HP 3D Centre for real-time monitoring and print management. The 3D printer does not require any special infrastructure — it operates on standard 110 V / 230 V power and does not need a dedicated ventilation system, so it can be easily integrated into existing office and production spaces.
Thanks to Multi Jet Fusion technology , print times are predictable and independent of part geometry: a full build chamber can be printed within 12 hours, meaning parts are available as early as the next day.
Key benefits of the HP Multi Jet Fusion 1200 solution
-
Industrial MJF in a compact format — the same technology and ecosystem as the HP Jet Fusion 5600 production series, in the under-60,000 USD category.
-
Rigid, precise and watertight parts with high isotropy of mechanical properties across all axes — ideal for functional testing and end-use applications.
-
Print time of under 12 hours for a full print job – predictable timing regardless of the complexity of the geometry or the number of parts printed.
-
Up to 80% recyclability of PA12 powder — low variable costs and less material waste.
-
No special infrastructure required — standard electrical connection, no dedicated ventilation, minimal space requirements.
-
Automated workflow — automated removal of powder from parts using vibration and automatic powder recycling.
-
Professional software included — Magics Print for HP by Materialise for print preparation and HP 3D Center for monitoring and fleet management.
-
Protection of sensitive 3D data — you produce parts in-house without having to share design documentation with an external supplier.
-
Scalability — the same powder, the same design rules and the same ecosystem as the HP Jet Fusion 5600. If demand grows, the transition to series production is straightforward.
The HP Multi Jet Fusion 1200 is primarily intended for design offices, corporate R&D departments, smaller manufacturers and businesses that require rapid delivery of parts, handle sensitive data or wish to reduce the costs of bespoke 3D printing.
