HP launches Multi Jet Fusion 1200: industrial MJF 3D printing in a compact format

HP today officially unveiled the new model that brings Multi Jet Fusion' s industrial technology to the compact 3D printer category with an entry price of under $60,000. The product complements the existing HP Jet Fusion 5600 production line and closes the gap in the portfolio between custom outsourcing, inhouse manufacturing and full industrial production.

The HP MJF 1200 3D Printer brings the same Multi Jet Fusion technology that has established itself as the industry standard for producing functional parts in the automotive, medical, aerospace and defense industries over its ten years of existence. Unlike competing SLS 3D printers, the MJF operates with two agents deposited by the print head over the entire layer area at once. The result is quickly produced parts with high isotropy, sharp details and high mechanical and chemical resistance. In addition, the compact solution offers automated removal, recycling and preparation of new build material. This is also exceptional for 3D printers in this price range.
