3D printer XM200G
Affordable 3D printer for precision metal printing for small and medium sized parts.
Description of the printer
3D printing from metals is no longer just for big companies with big budgets. Xact Metal brings affordable industrial metal 3D printers to the market that allow even small and medium-sized businesses to take advantage of this technology for prototyping, jig making, end part manufacturing or research and development. The XM200G offers a 150 x 150 x 150 mm printing platform and very fast printing of metal parts. Choose the Xact Metal XM200G with one 100W, 200W or 400W Yb Fiber Laser for high quality parts at an affordable price. Or upgrade to the XM200G2 model with two 100W, 200W or 400W Yb fiber lasers for even faster, more productive production and the ability to assign each laser to a different area of the print platform.
The XM200G 3D printer operates on the principle of Laser Powder Bed Fusion (also known as Selective Laser Melting - SLM or Direct Metal Laser Sintering - DMLS) technology, which uses a laser to melt successive layers of metal powder for printing. The printing process consists of successively applying thin layers of metal powder to a building platform, with each layer being selectively melted by a laser beam according to a digital 3D model. After printing a given layer, the building platform drops by the height of the printing layer and another layer of building material (metal powder) is applied. The whole process is repeated until the entire print job is printed.
The technology enables highly accurate and detailed production of complex geometries with many features that cannot be easily obtained by conventional manufacturing processes such as machining and casting.
The main advantage of the XM200G is its combination of high productivity (variety of materials, speed and print quality) and affordable price. It is precisely because of the affordable purchase price of the equipment that it is possible to produce metal parts that rival, or even in many applications surpass, the price of conventionally produced parts.
