Tool steel D2
D2 is a high-alloy tool steel with high carbon and chromium content, known for its hardness, wear resistance and dimensional stability.

Popis materiálu
D2 tool steel is characterised by its high carbide content, which provides exceptional wear resistance in contact with metals and abrasive materials. The combination of hardness, dimensional stability and toughness makes D2 the ideal material for long life tools. When hardened, it provides a medium level of corrosion resistance, which distinguishes it from conventional carbon steels. Typical applications include rollers, punching mandrels, shearing and forming tools, shear bars or knives for cutting sheet metal and other abrasive materials. MoldJet technology enables the accurate and efficient production of demanding geometries from D2 steel, increasing both the reliability and durability of the resulting tools.
